Black Girl Beauty School of Careers™ is proud to support veterans, service members and other eligible individuals as they transition into rewarding careers in the professional beauty industry.

As a VA-approved Registered Apprenticeship Program, BGB provides eligible veteran apprentices with the opportunity to earn wages while receiving structured on-the-job training, related technical instruction, licensed mentorship and career-development support. Qualified participants may be able to use eligible GI Bill® or other VA education benefits during their approved apprenticeship training.

Our career pathways include Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetics, Nail Technology, Hair Design, Natural Hair Stylist and Braiding. All programs are not available in every state. Apprentices receive comprehensive support throughout the process—from enrollment, employer placement and VA documentation assistance through training, State Board preparation, licensure and program completion.

BGB honors the discipline, leadership, resilience and professional experience veterans bring to the workplace. We are committed to helping those who have served build sustainable careers, pursue entrepreneurship and create a lasting legacy in the beauty industry.

Eligibility for VA education benefits and payment amounts are determined by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. BGB will assist eligible apprentices with the program documentation required for their approved apprenticeship participation.

Black Girl Beauty School of Careers™ is committed to making registered apprenticeship training accessible and affordable.

There is no tuition cost for participants. A $450 enrollment and technology fee is required to enter the Registered Apprenticeship Program.

BGB is a WIOA-approved training provider. Through our workforce partners, scholarship programs and other funding relationships, qualified participants may have access to financial assistance and supportive services. Depending on the funding source and individual eligibility, assistance may be available for enrollment expenses, tools, books, supplies, transportation and other approved program-related needs.

During the enrollment process, the BGB team will review available funding opportunities and direct applicants to the appropriate workforce agency, scholarship application or funding partner.

• Employer-sponsored assistance
• Apprenticeship grants and special initiatives
• Other funding opportunities offered through approved partners

Funding availability, eligibility requirements and covered expenses vary by program, state, funding source and participant. Funding and approval are not guaranteed. Final eligibility and award decisions are made by the applicable workforce agency, funding organization or government program.
