The First Black-Owned Online & Hybrid Cosmetology Apprenticeship School in the United States
Black Girl Beauty School of Careers is a cosmetology training institution offering state-aligned and federally recognized Registered Apprenticeship training. As the first Black-owned online and hybrid cosmetology apprenticeship school in the United States, we deliver structured Related Technical Instruction (RTI) combined with real-world, employer-based training.
Our model bridges education and employment by allowing students to earn while they learn, gain hands-on experience in licensed salon environments, and progress toward state licensure and national apprenticeship recognition.
The school is designed to develop licensed professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders equipped for long-term success in the beauty industry. We specialize in Black hair care and cultural artistry while fostering entrepreneurship and economic opportunity within communities.

If you are a veteran, active-duty service member, or a dependent, you may be eligible to use your education benefits with us to support your career goals.
During your onboarding process, we will seek all the necessary funding opportunities that are available to you. Through the Valor Act, eligible veterans can access financial assistance, educational assistance, career counseling, and job placement services, ensuring a smooth transition into civilian employment.

Regardless of if you're attending our traditional campus or apprentice programs, we are here to guide you to receive the financial assistance needed. Financial assistance is available to help traditional students, active apprentices and Employer Training Partners with various costs like tuition, fees, supplies, food, housing, and transportation to and from your supplemental instruction classroom.
Financial assistance varies. Depending on your circumstances, state and chosen program, there are several types of financial assistance/scholarships you might be eligible for. As part of your onboarding process you will be scheduled with our Financial Assistance navigator to see what programs might work for you.
APPLICATION PROCESS
We respond by email correspondence to assure accuracy of detailed information. As the potential apprentice, it is important that you check your email on a regular basis so that you don’t miss any important responses or deadlines as it pertains to enrollment information that you have requested. We also respond by text messages during the enrollment process. Failure to check your email may result in you as the potential apprentice missing details and important deadlines that are needed in order to move forward with enrollment process, steps & procedures. Please add admissions@bgbschoolofcareers.com to your secure email list. We accept apprentices starting at the age of 16yrs of age. IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 18, A PARENT/GUARDIAN’S SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED ON ALL DOCUMENTS.
*All application enrollment fees are non-refundable but can be applied to another future class or program offered by Black Girl Beauty School of Careers. BASIC COMPUTER AND INTERNET SKILL AS WELL AS FLUENCY IN ENGLISH ARE REQUIRED. ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER, WIFI/INTERNET CONNECTIONS.
