A Structured National Apprenticeship System

Black Girl Beauty School of Careers operates a standardized, federally aligned apprenticeship system powered by The Amanda Manigault Method™.

Our model integrates:

salon-based On-the-Job Training (OJT)
structured Related Technical Instruction (RTI)
and industry-level coordination through a beauty industry intermediary system

This system ensures apprentices gain real-world experience in licensed salons while receiving structured instructional support that reinforces skill development, consistency, and career readiness.

At No Cost to Apprentices

All apprenticeship training is provided at no cost to apprentices through participating employer and workforce partnerships.

This allows individuals to earn while they learn, removing financial barriers while creating structured pathways into licensed beauty careers.

The RISE UP Apprentice Program (accepting applications now!)- Train alongside top industry stylists and get paid while you learn the skills and knowledge needed to pass your State Cosmetology exam. You’ll learn how to cut, color and style hair the Black Girl Beauty Way, including advanced educational classes from the best educators in the hair fashion industry. You'll learn more than the state requirements. Once completed with the program, you’ll be a confident stylist ready for a successful beauty career.
