Welcome to Black Girl Beauty School of Careers™, the nation's first Black-owned online and hybrid cosmetology apprenticeship school. Through The Amanda Manigault Method™, we are changing the traditional beauty-school experience by connecting education with paid, full-time employment, hands-on salon training, professional development, and a structured pathway toward state licensure and a nationally recognized apprenticeship credential.

Now that you have completed your apprentice application, your next step is to watch each individual video in the Apprentice Program Information Center. These videos explain our programs, the complete apprenticeship process, what will be expected of you, and the steps required to move from applicant to qualified apprentice.

Please take your time and watch every video in its entirety before scheduling your consultation. The consultation is not intended to repeat or review the program information presented in the videos. It is an opportunity for one of our Career Placement Specialists to answer any remaining questions or concerns you may have and help you determine whether you are ready to take the next step.

After completing all the videos, click the link to schedule your consultation. Please arrive prepared with any questions that were not answered in the Apprentice Program Information Center.

If you decide to move forward after your consultation, you must submit the $450 enrollment fee and all requested enrollment and registration documents. Once these requirements have been submitted and reviewed, you may be designated as a qualified apprentice and move forward to the funding, employer-matching, registration, and placement phases.

There is no tuition cost for qualified apprentices who are approved for available tuition funding. Funding eligibility and approval are determined through the applicable workforce or funding program and are not guaranteed.

While funding, state requirements, and employer placement are being completed, you may participate in approved pre-apprenticeship and job-readiness activities designed to prepare you for the workplace. You will also complete your professional profile, portfolio materials, orientation, and Marketing and Clientele Launch requirements.

Once officially activated, you will work as a paid, full-time employee while completing required classroom instruction and supervised on-the-job training. You will be expected to attend required RTI sessions, accurately record your hours, complete assignments, maintain professional standards, participate in evaluations, and remain actively engaged throughout the program.
