TRADITIONAL LEARNING PATHWAY PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Black Girl Beauty School of Careers GEORGIA is a Traditional School that offers Cosmetology and Performing Arts as a Hybrid Learning Pathway. This learning pathway is only offered at our main campus location in Atlanta, Georgia. This traditional school offers a Hybrid Learning that is with theory training online and practical training through on campus training. You will enjoy learning the theory portion from the comfort of your own home creating a schedule that works with your lifestyle. This portion of the program is taught through an amazing (asynchronous) educational platform with self-paced learning and live instruction. You will also attend campus for live sessions at a beautiful state-of-the-art campus facility. This is where you'll receive your practical training on live models. This program is with a licensed instructor, specific schedule and a certified curriculum. Suitable class sizes and exceptional learning values allow Black Girl Beauty School of Careers to offer an intimate and inclusive educational learning environment. We do this by also ensuring each student receives the individualized attention and support they need through our unique hybrid programs. This pathway is great for the student who has time to commit and prefers learning & networking in a school atmosphere with one-on-one & group training. A flexible on campus schedule has been created to complete the required hands-on portion of the program. Upon completing the entire 1500 hours, the student will test for the theory and practical exam. We accept students starting at the age of sixteen (16) years old.
ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Asynchronous learning allows you to learn on your own schedule, within a certain time frame. You can access and complete lectures, readings, and other learning materials at any time during a one- OR two-week period. Asynchronous learning, therefore, is based on the constructivist theory whereby instructors act more as facilitators, guides on the side, and knowledge disseminators who ensure that content and curriculum are delivered effectively and efficiently. Our Georgia school location will offer asynchronous learning for the theory portion of the hybrid program.
