Co-Founder Amanda Manigault is a lifelong beauty visionary, nationally recognized apprenticeship leader, America’s Beauty Workforce Intermediary, and creator of The Amanda Manigault Method™. Her journey began at just eleven years old, braiding hair on her front porch in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Raised by parents whose formal education ended in the eighth grade, Amanda became a trusted helper at an early age—assisting with reading, writing, and managing important business matters. Those early responsibilities helped shape the independence, determination, and leadership that would define her life’s work.

After earning her cosmetology and instructor licenses from Empire Beauty School, Amanda built an expansive career as a salon owner, licensed educator, curriculum and systems developer, product developer, mentor, hair-braiding expert, beauty advocate, and WE tv reality-show beauty coach. She is also an ordained minister who keeps God at the center of her life, leadership, and mission.

Together with her daughter, Uniquia, Amanda co-founded the Black Girl Beauty Brand and launched Black Girl Beauty School of Careers™—the nation’s first Black-owned online and hybrid cosmetology apprenticeship school. She also created The Amanda Manigault Method™, a structured, career-focused apprenticeship model designed to flip the traditional beauty-school experience: students earn while they learn, receive hands-on training in real salons, build their clientele and professional portfolios, and are guided from enrollment through state licensure and career placement.

Under Amanda’s leadership, Black Girl Beauty School of Careers™ has grown into a National Registered Apprenticeship Program serving apprentices and salon partners across multiple states. As America’s Beauty Workforce Intermediary, Amanda connects education, employers, workforce systems, and aspiring beauty professionals to create stronger pathways into licensed, sustainable beauty careers.

Her mission is to make beauty education accessible, culturally relevant, industry-aligned, and debt-free while closing the long-standing gap in Black hair-care education. Through her work as a group sponsor, workforce intermediary, educator, and advocate, Amanda is building more than a school—she is creating a national pathway that prepares aspiring beauty professionals for licensure, entrepreneurship, sustainable careers, and real income.

Uniquia Manigault is a 3rd-generation entrepreneur, multi-disciplinary artist, and visionary leader whose life has been rooted in beauty, creativity, and service. Raised as a latchkey kid in her mother’s beauty salon, Uniquia developed her work ethic and artistic gifts early—answering phones and assisting clients at age four, shampooing and braiding hair by ten, and performing poetry, storytelling, and modeling before she reached middle school. Her talent and drive led her to pursue theatre and performing arts at a young age. She is a graduate of the prestigious Tri-Cities High School Theatre Arts Magnet Program in East Point, Georgia, and later earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from Clark Atlanta University. Over the years, she has become a professional actress, poet, model, comedian, entertainer, public speaker, and widely recognized as one of the most captivating event hosts in the industry. Uniquia is the Founder and CEO of I AM UNIQUIA Co. and the Black Girl Beauty Performing Arts School, where she empowers youth and young adults to build self-confidence through beauty, fitness, modeling, acting, poetry, writing, leadership, and entrepreneurship. She is the author of two poetry books and has written hundreds of poems, scripts, and film concepts that reflect her deep connection to creativity and emotional healing. Her passion for community advancement extends into her role as Co-Founder of both the Black Girl Beauty Brand and the National Alliance of Black Girl Beauty Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Through this platform, she created “Uniquia’s Theatre Arts Teen Scholarship Program,” designed to provide inner-city youth with access to performing arts education, self-expression, and creative opportunity. Today, Ms. Uniquia serves as the Beauty School President of the Black Girl Beauty School of Careers, where she oversees school operations, supervises instructors, supports learners, and ensures the highest standard of cosmetology education. She leads with excellence, compassion, and a commitment to developing future professionals in beauty and the creative arts.

Today, she is a professional actress, poet, model, motivational speaker, and the dynamic Host of the "Chitter Chatter" Talk Show. A proud graduate of Tri-Cities High School's Theatre Arts Program and Clark Atlanta University, where she earned her B.A. in Theatre Arts, Uniquia has dedicated her life to empowering others through beauty, confidence, and creative expression.

She is the Founder/CEO of I AM UNIQUIA Co. and the Black Girl Beauty Performing Arts School, where she develops confidence-building programs for youth and young adults. As Co-Founder of the Black Girl Beauty Brand and the National Alliance of Black Girl Beauty Foundation, she champions performing arts, leadership, self-expression, and entrepreneurship. She currently serves as Beauty School Director, overseeing education, program development, and learner success across all locations.
