ABOUT THE HAIR DESIGNER APPRENTICE PROGRAM:

Black Girl Beauty School of Careers welcomes students who are strong, self-motivated and fast paced learners who desire to learn, grow, beautify and help others. The beauty business is a recession free industry that’s wide open, with unlimited opportunities! 

The Hair Designer Program is offered at our traditional campus.

Hair Designer is the study of beautification—the practice hair services. Hair Designer study the most recent advances in hair care techniques. They help clients achieve their beauty and styling goals and can assist in maintaining the general health of the hair. Services can include hair cutting and styling. You get it all in one complete package.

At Black Girl Beauty School of Careers, we strive to support students through every phase of their education, graduation, and career placement. You’ll have access to our online campus for your theory training where you’ll discover exciting future opportunities and meet others from around the world. Your practical learning will be in our state-of-the-art physical campus in Atlanta, Georgia. All theory is offered through distance learning.

Our hair designer program teaches all nationalities of hair, but we specialize in “Black Hair Care”.  You’re walking into an industry that helps people look and feel great while building an exclusive clientele business within your own community. 

YOUR LIGHT WILL SHINE BRIGHTER AS YOU MASTER BASIC, CONTEMPORARY AND ADVANCED TECHNIQUES IN COSMETOLOGY. BLACK GIRL BEAUTY SCHOOL OF CAREER’S COMPREHENSIVE COSMETOLOGY PROGRAM WILL TEACH YOU TO: 

  • Use the latest trends in haircutting, coloring and design for men, women and children. 
  • Master hair texture concepts and create the haircut or style that will please every guest. 
  • Natural hair & braiding

*The objective of this program is to educate you to a degree of competence that will enable you to systematically and professionally perform the required skills of a Cosmetologist.

What does a hair designers do?Licensed
Hair Designers are able to offer services across the beauty industry, including hairstyling. Some schools have more specialized licensure requirements for estheticians or skin care specialists. 

Hair Designers may perform several different services throughout their day, depending on their role. If your focus is hairstyling and cutting, you may still work with clients that require the latest coloring, cuts and styles, as well as curling, weaves, extensions, or other hair services.

Also, some licensed professionals choose to pursue careers in the beauty industry as beauty magazine editors or consultants, while others become sales or marketing specialists in the cosmetics industry. Still others go on to teach beauty school and pass on their knowledge and skills to the next generation. The choices really are endless and new opportunities for professional cosmetologists in many different career sectors.
