ABOUT THE MANICURING/NAIL TECHNICIAN PROGRAM:

Black Girl Beauty School of Careers welcomes students who are strong, self-motivated and fast paced learners who desire to learn, grow, beautify and help others. The beauty business is a recession free industry that’s wide open, with unlimited opportunities!

A Manicurist/Nail Technician/Nail stylist is the study of beautification to style and shape a person’s nails. This is achieved using a combination of decorating nails with colored varnish, transfers, gems or glitter. Basic treatments include manicures and pedicures, as well as cleaning and filing nails and applying overlays or extensions. Students will learn how to perform tips and overlay, nail sculpting using a form, nail mending nail fills, artificial nail removal, nail polishing and nail art. Students will also learn how to maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and behaviors, which will help them gain a meaningful and successful career as a nail technician. They help clients achieve their beauty goals of the hands and feet and can assist in maintaining the general nails.

At Black Girl Beauty School of Careers, we strive to support students through every phase of their education, graduation, and career placement. We offer this course at the apprenticeship school. Our apprenticeship on-the-job training is an amazing opportunity to learn from some of the best professionals that’s been in the industry for over 10 years. Our cosmetology program specializes in “Black Hair Care”.  You’re walking into an industry that helps people look and feel great while building an exclusive clientele business within your own community.
